Lynnette Cruickshank - Music Performance
Lynnette Cruickshank plays a variety of instruments, however she is most proficient at flute and vocals. She has been studying the flute since roughly 1996 and loves to play film scores, including Star Wars and Disney.
​
Lynnette is available for events and parties, whether it's playing Star Wars pieces on the flute, or singing well-loved Disney songs. Please get in contact here for a no obligation quote.

Previous experience includes multiple concerts with "The Little Sessions," a performance with the Beltane Society for family events, and performances during the Edinburgh Festival.

Little Sessions is an organisation who make concerts for babies, toddlers and children.
Lynnette Cruickshank and Shona Birrell went to a nursery to play a mixture of classical and popular music for the children on piano and flute to give them a unique experience.

Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh
Wee ones and their grown-ups got to join in the wintry celebrations at the Samhuinn Fire Festival with their very own Family Samhuinn.
As the leaves on the trees began to fall, we met in the Scottish Storytelling Centre to mark the change of the seasons with a special afternoon of storytelling and play.
Kids and their families can get into the spirit of Samhuinn with the help of our whimsical and ghoulish jesters, who lead a daytime party made up of face painting, drama games, music-making, spooky stories & arts and crafts.
I played a mixture of classical and popular flute pieces with a backing track.

Little Sessions is an organisation who make concerts for babies, toddlers and children.
This session was called "Crazy for Classics." We played relaxing classical music with Flute and Piano in the lovely Honeypot Cafe with Lynnette Cruickshank and Shona Birrell.

Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh
To celebrate the turn of the seasons, there was an event at the Scottish Storytelling Centre. A vibrant troupe of storytellers, singers, and game masters organised a day of play that brought the magic of Beltane alive for families.
We marked Summer's return with a cosy day of mask making, drumming workshops, storytelling, music-making, performance games, and face painting. A host of otherworldly characters lead the activities and embodied the sunny spirit of Beltane.
I played a mixture of classical and popular flute pieces with a backing track. I also led a singing workshop with the kids.

Little Sessions is an organisation who make concerts for babies, toddlers and children.
This concert was full of Christmas favourites. The Wooden Toy Shop kindly hosted us. Playing the Christmas tunes was Shona Birrell on the piano and Lynnette Cruickshank on the flute and vocals.

The Little Sessions was set up to provide exciting concerts and gigs for babies, toddlers and children. We played a concert called "The Movie Edition," where Shona Birrell and Lynnette Cruickshank played music from the movies on the flute and piano. We played from Star Wars to ABBA, the greatest showman to Frozen!
